RE: Parks in New Hudson, MI

Howdy,
Also in Milford there is Camp Dearborn which also is very popular with 3 gold courses and several other things to do. I really no little about their camping other than to say they do have sites but it might be a thought.
tomman
If you have pets you may not want to go to Camp Dearborn. It is a very nice campground with lots of activities but they do not allow pets.
Camp Dearborn
During spring and fall animals are allowed.

RE: Plastic Drawer / Door latches Monaco uses!!!!

Is this the type you have? Push Latch.
Same ones are used on my MH. Have not lost one yet. I wonder if it is an alignment problem.

RE: Super Nova

Hi Ron, I'm sorry I sold the Endura. I've been thinking about the Super Nova; the 37' model. Thanks for the replies.
I heard a rumor that Jim Bob is looking at another Super Nova.:B
Maybe his 6362 will be available. :W

RE: Analog to Digital Transition FAQ

Let's note here that your TV will be set to channel 3 and the converter box will be used to change the channels. It is the converter box that has the digital tuner. (All STB’s also have analog Video and Stereo Audio outputs that can feed an external V/A input on a vast majority of analog receivers.)
A note about TV channel.
The converts that I have installed use either channel 3 or 4. Depending on where switch on rear of converter is set. Others switch the channel during setup.

RE: Scan Guage II cause (s) tranny fault?

I think the question was:
"does it work normally without the scangauge?"
It has for some 3k miles we put on it. No repair bills from the original owners on the transmission that we know of.
So I guess yes.
We are leaving today for a good 2k trip, I'll keep the thread updated.
One of the questions was.
Have you tried to disconnect the ScanGaugeII? Maybe you bent a pin installing it into the connector.
All of the pins are fine. Even retested the device to the blazer. worke great.
Good feedback.
Have a great trip.

RE: generator db, looking at buying a new one

61 DB is low even at 23'. Onan rates a similar generator at 64 DB at 10'.
About 1/2 down the page is a list of different sound levels. ClICK

RE: Tire replacement

Michelin's or Goodyear. You may want to start your search at Camping World.
Costco carries the Michelin's of the size you have. But may not mount them for you.

RE: Winterizing - Don't forget the LCD TV/s!

Those remote storage lots are a feeding ground for thieves. Brake into your RV, who knows what they can and do remove from your unit. Besides loosing your treasures, you have to deal with the other damage done inside and outside of your unit. Do you know that your SKYLIGHT provides a very easy way to enter your RV. Plus there is no noticeable outside damage to the RV, but the inside is trashed. All they have to do is unlock your door, take your stuff, and disappear.
Theft is a good reason to remove them and other valuable items.

RE: Winterizing - Don't forget the LCD TV/s!

:h WHY?
Most LCD TV can be stored to very low temperatures. Unplug them. Then do not turn on again until temperatures get above normal operating temperature listed in owners manual.

Have you tried to disconnect the ScanGaugeII. Maybe you bent a pin installing it into the connector. The ScanGaugeII only reads data except for the clear codes option.

Total cost about $15.00 and all you do is plug it into any 12 volt outlet.
Do you have a brand, name or model number. I have never seen this before.
Thanks,
Mike
They sell that model on Amazon. CW also carries the Vector but could not find it in a search. I bought the RoadPro because I wanted to still use socket to supply power to a Wilson Amplifier.

RE: Is your Grand Ma ready for the Change over?

I sympathize with the video.
I got the $40 cards for my 89 year old mother. Purchased 2 DTV converter boxes from Wal-mart. Installed them for her. Get a call about every 2 weeks to help her get them working again. Walk her though the steps needed to get converter and TV on and on correct channels. All is good for another week or so. Then it's another call to repaeat the same thing again.
When purchasing Converter make sure it can control the TV ON/Off in the converter remote. Do not buy Wal-Mart. Their converters will not control TV.

RE: HD Converter Boxes

I have installed several DTV boxes. They all work OK. But some have better controls. The ones sold at Wal-Mart have the fewest features. The best I have seen so far are the Digital Stream sold at Radio Shack. You will need one box for each TV in your RV.

RE: Problems with tow dolly

Have a 2004 Neon and tow dolly that we have never used. Need to know about possible problems of actually towing the dolly. Have lots of experience towing trailers behind the motor home but this will be 1st time with the dolly. Have read all the items on the dolly strapping and chains, etc. Need to know about any problems turning, backing, etc.
Tow a dolly will be similar to towing a trailer. You will have no problems turning but backing is a No No. I have backed a few feet with help from another person watching movement of the dolly and toad.
Here is a recent thread on checking a dolly while towing.
How often do you check your Tow Dolly while traveling?

RE: Looking at buying a Class C built on a Duramax chassis.

We have a Endura on a Kodiak Chassis Motorhome with a Duramax engine. Great MH with few problems for us.
There is a Kodiak Chassis Forum on Yahoo that has members that have all the models you are interested in. Lots of info and advice.
Also look under Super C on the C forum here. That's where most of Kodiak Chassis owners post.
